Does this sound familiar?

You love your dog. It's the daily friction that's wearing you down, and it rarely fixes itself with more repetition of the same thing.

  • Pulling and lunging on walks

The leash is tight before you reach the corner, and a walk feels more like a workout than a break.

  • Reactivity around dogs or people

You scan the sidewalk ahead, cross the street, and time outings so you don't run into anyone.

  • Jumping and chaotic greetings

The doorbell rings and everything unravels, so guests get met with paws instead of manners.

  • Recall you can't rely on

Off leash feels risky because calling your dog is a suggestion, not an answer.

  • Barking and low impulse control

Every noise, squirrel, or delivery sets things off and the house never fully settles.

  • Daily stress at home

You love your dog, but managing the chaos has quietly become a full-time job.

What life looks like after training

Peaceful walks you can enjoy again

Your dog learns to walk politely at your side, and we teach leash manners in real-world settings, not just a quiet training room.

A calmer home for everyone

Polite greetings, settled indoor behavior, and structure you know how to keep in place after we're done.

Real-world obedience and off-leash trust

With modern e-collar training done right, recall holds up around distractions, which is what makes hikes and beach days relaxing again.

We don't just train dogs, we coach you. That's how the skills transfer home and stay there.

Training programs

Two programs, each tailored to the individual dog. The right starting point is a conversation about your dog, not a price comparison.

Board & Train

3 weeks — $3,500

An immersive program where your dog stays and trains with a professional trainer in a small-group environment. Daily hands-on training tailored to your dog, then a full owner handoff and follow-up so the results come home with you.

  • 3 weeks — $3,500
  • 4 weeks — $4,500
  • 5 weeks — $5,500
  • 6 weeks — $6,500

All training tools are included.

  • 3 weeks: foundational obedience and minor problem solving
  • 4 weeks: stronger behavior work such as leash reactivity or resource guarding
  • 5–6 weeks: serious or entrenched behavior concerns and deeper real-world proofing

Day Training

$125 per training day

Weekday drop-off training while you go about your routine. Focused work on obedience, manners, walking skills, impulse control and mild behavior concerns, with a 10 training-day minimum so the progress has time to stick.

You learn to lead confidently, so the training doesn't fade the week after it ends.

  • Real-world proofing

We practice around distractions, because that's where behavior either holds or falls apart.

The Good Dog Way client reviews

Real Clients. Real Change.

★★★★★

Sean, Marta and team opened up a whole new world for my golden and I. Walks, hiking, everything is better. I used to say to him, “if you behaved we could do a lot more cool things.” Now we are. Would recommend The Good Dog Way 100%. No longer reactive, no pulling on the leash, just the really good boy he is.
